The Harry Potter star captures the Princess perfectly in her infamous yellow ball gown

FOLLOWING the success of The Jungle Book and Maleficent, there are high expectations for the live action remake of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

But if the new poster of actress Emma Watson in character alongside the beast are anything to go by, the studio has nothing to worry about.

From what we can see of the Harry Potter actress, she looks beautiful as the Disney princess, who was first brought to life in the 1991 animation.

Meanwhile Dan Stevens can be seen dancing with her as the infamous Beast.

The new poster comes after a selection of images from the film were released last week.

Along with Watson and Stevens, Luke Evans as an arrogant Gaston and Josh Gad as his sidekick Le Fou were pictured.

And who can forget the talking mantel clock Cogsworth (Sir Ian McKellan), teapot Mrs. Potts (Emma Thompson), candelabra Lumiére (Ewan McGregor) and feather duster Plumette (Gugu Mbatha-Raw)?

Watson is the perfect choice for the role, as she admits she knew the script word-for-word even before they began filming.

“I can’t even think how many times I watched it as a child,” she told the magazine. “I knew all the words by heart. I knew all the songs by heart.”

Beauty and the Beast will hit UK cinemas on 17 March 2017.
