‘We’re very working class,’ said Victoria to the cameras of her childhood, before David popped his head around the corner full of accusation.

‘Be honest,’ he said, straight-faced. ‘I am being honest,’ replied the ex-popstar, before David asked: ‘What car did your dad drive you to school in?’

‘So my dad did-‘ began Victoria, before her sportsman husband cut her off.

‘No what car was it?’ he pressed.

‘It’s not a simple answer,’ she retorted, defiantly, and so David repeated: ‘What car did you get your dad to drive you to school in?’

‘It depends,’ she responded. ‘No, no, no, no, no,’ continued David, not giving his wife an inch. Finally, VB admitted: ‘Okay, in the 80s my dad had a Rolls Royce.’

Satisfied, David thanked his wife after apparent winning the little tiff and disappeared in an instant.

Naturally, social media exploded with reactions to the exchange, with some finding it really quite hilarious, while others were not too impressed.

‘David Beckham has his initials on his bee keepers suit,’ wrote one team VB supporter, while another said: ‘Lmfao her name was Posh Spice for a reason!’

Someone else chimed in: ‘A rolls Royce in the 80s is crazy they was really rich.’

‘Becks ate her up lmfaoooo,’ wrote someone else, very amused, as another quipped: ‘”It depends” She’s right, sometimes he preferred the Countach.’

Victoria was brought up in Goffs Oak, Hertfordshire, where her parents had a successful wholesale business of electronic items.

She was raised by parents Tony Adams and Jackie Adams, alongside her two younger siblings.

It’s previously been reported that Victoria was embarrassed about her family’s wealth, and didn’t want her father to drop her off for school in his Rolls-Royce.

Back in 2020, Victoria shared footage of the inside of her family home, including her old bedroom.

It looked to have a lovely wooden floor, lovely cream drawers, and a plump bright carpet – though Victoria explained how her mum has redecorated since her childhood. Back then it had Laura Ashley-wallpaper, according to a Vogue interview. There was also the new addition of a large wooden rocking horse (which tend to sell upwards from £1,000).

In the interview with Vogue back in 2017, Victoria described how her parents added annexes to her house as their fortunes increased.

The publication explained how her father ‘was an entrepreneur who made a killing in the 1980s boom.’

‘They bought it as a shell and did it all themselves,’ explained Victoria of her expanded childhood home. ‘I remember my mum cooking on a camping stove because we didn’t have a proper kitchen.’

By the time of the interview, Victoria’s family home had a swimming pool, a pond full of koi carp, a tennis court, a playhouse, statues of cherubs, and a well-stocked bar.

In her youth Victoria had a part-time promotional job at Wickes hardware store, and she would pop half her earnings into separate bank account for tax.

The star also described her mother hosting dinner parties, being ‘properly dressed’ for the occasions in velvet, and big shoulder pads.

She also added that her dad ‘worked really hard to have the money for us to have a nice house.’

According to The Sunday Times rich list, Posh and Becks are now worth a cool £425 million.

Elsewhere in the Netflix documentary, the couple – who married in 1999 and are parents to Brooklyn, Harper, Romeo and Cruz Beckham – are put on the spot about David’s alleged 2003 affair.

David is alleged to have had an extra-marital relationship with his former personal assistant Rebecca Loos while he was playing for Real Madrid in 2003.

While they have both always denied the affair ever happened, in the new documentary Victoria spoke about how the rumours impacted their relationship, saying: ‘It was the hardest period because it felt like the world was against us.

‘Here’s the thing — we were against each other if I’m being completely honest. ‘You know, up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else but we were together, we were connected, we had each other.

She continued: ‘But when we were in Spain, it didn’t really feel like we had each other either. And that’s sad. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me. It was a nightmare.

‘It was an absolute circus — and everyone loves it when the circus comes to town right? Unless you’re in it.’

When the singer was asked if she ‘resented’ her husband, she replied: ‘If I’m being totally honest, yes I did. It was the most unhappy I have ever been in my entire life.’

David also addressed the allegations, when he said: ‘There was some horrible stories which were difficult to deal with.

‘It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage.’
