Michael Lohan, the father of actress Lindsay Lohan, has been arrested in Texas on a felony assault charge. 

The 64-year-old was taken into custody following allegations that he physically assaulted his estranged wife, Kate Major Lohan.

Details of the Arrest

According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Lohan has been charged with continuous violence against the family, a felony offense. 

The arrest stemmed from an incident that reportedly occurred a few days before law enforcement was called.

A spokesperson for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office provided further details, 

stating that Major had been attending a medical follow-up appointment on Friday, February 21, 2025, 

when she saw Lohan in the parking lot. Feeling unsafe, she called 911, prompting deputies to respond to the scene.

Major informed officers that Lohan had flipped her out of a chair at their home days earlier, causing her pain and discomfort. When deputies arrived, a female officer examined Major and observed bruising on her body, supporting her claims of physical assault.

Lohan was arrested at his residence in north Harris County and is currently being held on a $30,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

Kate Major’s Response

In a statement given exclusively to Fox News Digital, Major expressed her concerns and requested privacy for herself and her children.

“I’m praying for privacy for the sake of my kids and myself and pray justice is finally served,” she stated.

Representatives for Lohan have not publicly responded to the allegations.

A Troubled Relationship

Lohan and Major have had a tumultuous relationship over the years. The couple married in 2014 and share two sons, Landon Major Lohan and Logan Michael Lohan. However, their marriage has been far from stable.
