Speaking when receiving the Grammy Award on the morning of February 5 (Vietnam time), rapper Jay-Z bluntly criticized the organizers for never giving his wife Beyoncé the Album of the Year award.

According to People, male rapper Jay-Z was named in the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award at the 66th Grammy Awards taking place on the morning of February 5 (Vietnam time).

In his acceptance speech, the 54-year-old star asked questions about the process of selecting winners at this prestigious awards ceremony.

The hip hop icon expressed: “We want you all to get it right, at least roughly. Obviously this process is subjective… because you know, this is a review of music and this depends on point of view”.

Jay-Z continued to express his frustration with the organizers: “I don’t want to embarrass this young lady but she has more Grammy awards than anyone but has never won the Album of the Year category.

When Compared to your data, that doesn’t make sense either. Think about it. The artist who has won the most Grammy awards has never won Album of the Year.”

The Empire State of Mind hitmaker also hinted that some of his colleagues don’t even deserve to be nominated in certain categories.

Although he did not specifically name the “young lady”, with the information Jay-Z mentioned, the public easily guessed that the person he was referring to was his wife – singer Beyoncé.

At the Grammys, the “queen bee” was nominated four times in the Album of the Year category but never won. To date, the 42-year-old star has won 32 awards, becoming the artist with the most Grammy awards.
