With only 2 days left until New York Fashion Week ends, after Victoria, it’s David Beckham’s turn to present his collection.
This Tuesday, the former England midfielder launched his racing jacket line in collaboration with high-end menswear brand Belstaff.
Appearing at the ceremony, Beckham attracted all eyes with his extremely “cool” outfit.
Different from his usual casual style, this time the 39-year-old former football player looked extremely individual with a black leather jacket, a matching T-shirt and patched jeans.
Although he himself is a seasoned fashionista, Beckham still modestly believes that his wife is the best. “Compared to me, what she is doing is much more massive.
My collection is small so I can participate 100% in every detail, while Victoria’s collection is like a monster.
She has won the respect of the fashion industry and many others. I’m enjoying this job but I don’t have time to do it like her,” Beckham proudly shared about his wife.
However, perhaps the most notable thing is Becks’ confession about his beloved daughter Harper. According to the 39-year-old former footballer, Harper loves to choose clothes for her father: “She will come in and tell me to tie this belt, or say ‘Daddy, wear this pair of shoes with that pair’. It’s great.” In addition, Beckham also revealed that Harper is a very picky girl and spends up to 20 minutes a day choosing clothes. “It started a year ago, after waking up, she will open the wardrobe and spend 20 minutes deciding what to wear and then change her mind constantly. I’m really not used to it!”
Having been used to taking care of 3 sons, Beckham said he felt a bit overwhelmed by his daughter’s flirtatious nature. “We have 3 boys and they are happy with anything they wear. Only Romeo is a little bit picky. Harper keeps changing her mind. I hear girls are like that, it’s interesting to see it for yourself.”
In addition, Beckham also revealed his new hobby is… flowers: “One thing that changes over the years is… as you get older, you become more mature, and you start to like flowers, but I still try to be a little more masculine.” Next year, Beckham will officially enter his “40s”. However, the former player said he is not afraid of aging like others: “I’m very excited, I’m not someone who doesn’t want to get older. I’m very happy with my life. I’ve had a successful career. I have four wonderful children and a wonderful wife.”
