She remembered him saying that this film was going to be a very pleasant experience for her as she would make a lot of new friends and experiences. While she thought he was just trying to cheer her on, those claims were actually on the mark. She said:

“At our initial meeting, he said, ‘Okay, not only is this going to be one of the most important parts you play, you’re also going to have the summer of your life and meet some of your best friends.’ I thought, ‘That’s quite a claim. Who is this guy? Everything he said came true.”

And with the release of the film, she got exactly what she’d hoped for along with the things that the director claimed she would.
