David Beckham is showing love for his wife Victoria by calling out her killer style.

While speaking at a Bowers & Wilkins event in New York City on Tuesday, Aug. 27, the former soccer star credited his other half with inspiring him to try new looks.

“She always gave me that confidence and, and she still does now, even after 27 years,” David, 49, said. “She still gives me that confidence that, you know, wanting to look good and wanting to feel good.”

When asked if he’s influenced his wife’s style, David responded, “I’m not sure. I like to think I do, but I dare say the wrong thing.

To be honest, she always looks good. It’s a good problem but it’s a problem. She always looks great. So it’s a pretty easy job for me.”

Victoria, on the other hand, takes her job very seriously. “She has a huge influence in my style,” the soccer legend continued. “When I put something on, I know from her reaction whether I need to take it off or whether I need to keep it on.”

The former Spice Girl, 50, recently gave David some fashion advice in the gym.

On Saturday, Aug. 24, David posted a photo on Instagram of himself lifting weights while shirtless and wearing a pair of light blue shorts with a bright orange top tucked into his waistband.

In the post’s caption, the retired athlete explained that his fashion designer wife wasn’t a huge fan of the shirt he chose.

“My wife said my orange vest was [too] bright so I took it off 🤔🧡🧡,” he wrote. “Judging my workout clothes @victoriabeckham you know u love it really 🧡🧡.”

Victoria joked back in the comment section, writing, “Matchy-matchy 🤣 Chic! 😂.”

The couple, who celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on July 4, are known to make playful jabs at each other on social media — and sometimes include their children.

On Aug. 8, David shared a video of their family taking part in the “Just Give Me My Money” trend, in which people taking turns saying “Just give me my money” and being met with applause until the last person to repeat the phrase is met with an awkward silence. David, as well as the couple’s son Romeo, 21, and daughter Harper 13, participated before letting Victoria go last.

When no one clapped after her turn, she burst into laughter. “Is that it?” the fashion designer asked.

David and Victoria also share sons Brooklyn, 25, and Cruz, 19.
