Stacey Solomon has opened up to her followers about an emotional milestone in her youngest child’s life, admitting she was left in tears over the decision.

revealed that her one-year-old daughter Belle has officially started nursery—an experience that has left her feeling overwhelmed.

A Bittersweet Moment for Stacey

The Sort Your Life Out host, 35, took to Instagram earlier this week to share her emotions surrounding the big day. 

Posting a heartfelt video montage, Stacey reflected on Belle’s journey from birth to now, showing precious moments of her little one alongside her older sister, Rose. The video started with an adorable clip of Rose cradling newborn Belle, before transitioning to present-day footage of the sisters preparing for Belle’s first day at nursery.

In the caption, Stacey poured out her feelings, writing: “Belle’s first day at nursery [crying face emoji]. I am not OK [crying face emoji].” She went on to share that Belle had no trouble settling in, saying: “Belle ran into nursery and didn’t look back. She had the best day, she didn’t mention us once [crying laughing emoji].”

Despite her sadness, Stacey found comfort in knowing that Belle had her older sister Rose by her side. “I’m convinced that Belle is so confident and content because she knows she has the best friend in the world by her side, always looking out for her and always there when she needs her,” she explained.

Sisterly Bond and Support

Stacey, who shares Belle, Rose, and five-year-old Rex with husband Joe Swash, expressed how special the bond between her daughters is. She wrote: “Sisters are so special. And Rose, you are the most incredible big sister Belle could have wished for. From the moment she was born. Happy first day at nursery, Belle. The world is yours.”

The emotional mum admitted that she would have loved to keep Belle at home for longer but realized that her little girl was eager to follow in Rose’s footsteps. On her Instagram Story, Stacey confessed: “Honestly, where does the time go? Our last baby at nursery [crying face emoji]. I genuinely would keep Belle at home for longer if she didn’t cry every time Rose goes in and she doesn’t [laughing emoji].”

My heart can’t cope.”
