The 26-year-old had her hair brightly coloured for the occasion, which was mostly electric blue with a touch of bold lilac.

The Bodak Yellow hitmaker was photographed standing in a private area of the club surrounded by her entourage and security as she geared up to ring in 2019. 

Cardi wore a sparkling white fishnet dress for the occasion as she stood with a champagne flute in her hand.

And while she may look relaxed in the photographs, a video shared to Instagram showed the Money rapper looking eager to leave 2018 behind. 

The rapper, who recently split with husband Offset, showcased her raunchy moves in a lively dance performance shortly after the clock struck midnight.

The clip showed Cardi screaming, ‘Happy new year to me!’, while twerking enthusiastically as she entered 2019.  

While in the nightclub, she stuck out her tongue and vigorously gyrated her curvy derrière to the hip hop music that was playing in the background. 

Joining her were members of her entourage including  publicist Patientce Foster, who made headlines last week when she angrily confronted a fan at Sydney Airport.

Patientce snapped when the elderly woman, who was seemingly annoyed that Cardi wouldn’t take a photo with her fans, told the rapper ‘That’s your husband left you’. 

But on Monday night, Patientce was laughing and smiling without a care in the world as she danced around the singer.

Cardi began her brief Australian tour on December 30, putting on a sexually-charged performance at Perth’s Origin Field Festival.

Around 9:30am (Sydney time) on Wednesday she boarded a flight for New Zealand, where she has another two concerts scheduled.
