Lionel Messi is still recovering from an ankle injury he suffered in the Copa America final last month and has yet to return to action. 

As a result, the 37-year-old superstar has been forced to sit out and watch his Inter Miami teammates embark on their journey to defend their Leagues Cup title.

On August 25, Inter Miami has an important match with Cincinnati in the US Major League Soccer. Messi is likely to return in this confrontation.
