After kissing Rupert Grint in Harry Potter, Emma Watson has expanded her
kissing-on-screen repertoire in her new coming-of-age drama The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
But the 22-year-old actress isn’t quite comfortable watching herself getting intimate on the big screen.
“It’s really funny because when I watch the film back, there are a few things I can’t watch.
I can’t watch the Rocky Horror dancing scene, and I can’t watch the kissing scenes,” Emma told the UK’s Radio One.
“This film really pushed me out of my comfort zone. I told the director that I have just come from playing Hermione Granger
and you are expecting me to dance and putting me in corsets, and it’s difficult.”
The Three Musketeers’ Logan Lerman had the enviable task of receiving Emma’s kisses in Perks.
“She’s cool. It wasn’t as awkward as it could have been. But it’s Emma Watson, I’m a lucky guy,” Logan told MTV.
“What if I was complaining, though? ‘Oh, God. I had to kiss that girl!”
He might be kicking himself if Emma gets offered the part of Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey. Fans of EL James’ hugely popular erotic novel put Emma as a frontrunner for the part, and she won’t rule herself out of the race just yet.
“The thing is I haven’t read any of the book because I haven’t read a script so it’s quite difficult to know what I’m turning down potentially but I hear it’s quite raunchy,” Emma told The Sun.
“I mean, if there’s interesting character development and there’s an interesting story then I would consider it — but I haven’t been offered anything.”
