In the 2014 movie Noah, the Little Women actress portrayed the character of Ila.

While talking about the filming experience of the movie, the actress recalled how the shooting process became tiring for her.

Emma Watson says filming for the movie Noah exhausted her emotionally and physically

Even though the film Noah garnered a lot of plaudits for Emma Watson and added another fantastic film to her career, the production experience was stressful for her. During an interview, the 33-year-old who plays the character of Ila in the movie, says she was emotionally and mentally tired because of the shoot. The Colonia actress said,

“I was so physically and emotionally exhausted by just the process of making the film. I just didn’t leave my apartment for a few weeks afterwards, walked around in my pajamas for a few days in a row. I just needed some time to sort of put myself back together a bit.”

For the Ballet Shoes actress, the time when she was filming Noah became a stressful zone. She took some time to get back to her old self after completing the adventure movie.

Emma Watson defended her movie Noah and the makers

The 2014 movie, Noah, was based on the biblical story of Noah’s Ark from the Book of Genesis and the Book of Enoch. Even though the movie received great reviews from critics and audiences, some people claimed that the movie was blasphemous. Many people slammed the makers and the cast of the movie because they didn’t appreciate the changes made to the storyline. Watson, who played a significant character in the movie, defended her movie and its makers, saying,

“If we had gone with exactly the original story, Noah doesn’t say anything until he steps off the ark. You would have been watching a silent film. None of the women are really spoken about in the biblical story. There wouldn’t have been any women in it. He had to adapt it for the screen.”

The Muslim and Christian communities demanded the makers of the movie Noah to release a statement and explain it to the communities. The movie made a lot of waves before and after its release, as many people were speculating on the changes made in the storyline of the movie.
