Emma Watson channelled her Beauty and the Beast character at the Elle Style Awards on Monday night.

The stunning actress, looked just like Bella, as she arrived at the event, wearing a Dior dress from the designer’s haute couture spring 2017 collection.

The haute couture gown was ideal for the Disney actress, with a fitted bodice hugging her curves and flaring out into a full-length A-line skirt.

Adding a modern twist to the princess dress, the design was covered in doodle drawings which were reminiscent of sketches from a fairy tale storybook. 

Emma paired the elegant gown with a casual updo, with loose tendrils of hair wisping out from the pinned up style.

In the makeup department, Emma kept things simple with a light dewy foundation, dark defined eyebrows, a touch of mascara and a deep beige shimmering lipstick. 

On the catwalk, last month, Christian Dior styled the same dress with loose curly hair and a dramatic black metal crown. 

While Emma’s doodle dress is new, Dior has had major success with similar sketched dresses making their way onto the red carpet.

While promoting her latest film, Lion, Nicole Kidman wore a tulle Dior gown with heart doodles on the bodice.

Nicole embraced the princess theme with loose curls in her hair and a bright red lip. 

Natalie Portman also wore Dior Haute Couture while promoting the film Jackie.

The pregnant actress streamlined her bump with the help of a white tailored blazer while a dark smokey eye helped steer the dress away from the Disney theme.

And last but not least, Kate Mara wore a similar Dior dress while on the red carpet for the premiere of Man Down in LA

The actress went for a short knee-length style, which she paired with black peep-toe heels and a red lip.
