Rocky has now publicly called Rihanna his “wife” during his Spotify concert at the 2023 Cannes Lions Festival on June 21.
Rihanna, showing off her signature daring maternity style in a bump-baring sheer black dress, responded by smiling from the VIP section.
While neither have officially confirmed reports, this sweet shoutout may be proof the pair have actually tied the knot.
During ‘D.M.B.,’ which dropped in May 2022, the song featured romantic lyrics presumably referencing Rihanna, like, “Hey, it’s been a little time since we both (I fell in love with you) / Felt full since our first encounter (My first encounter) / And baby (I fell in love with you).” Rocky also refers to Rihanna as his angel, goddess, and soul mate.
Throughout the video, Rihanna appears as a constant pillar by Rocky’s side. The two are filmed walking around New York City, where he grew up.
Near the end of the video, the Fenty mogul appears as a bride, wearing a scarlet dress and matching veil while carrying a red rose bouquet. The camera zooms in on Rocky’s teeth, which bear gold grills that spell out, “Marry me?” In response, Rihanna answers with her own gold, bedazzled grill, which reads, “I do.”
Last July, the couple was photographed in the Bronx filming scenes for Rocky’s music video.
Rihanna and Rocky — who are currently expecting their first child together — have become increasingly more comfortable with publicly sharing their relationship since reports of their romance first emerged at the end of 2020.
The rapper previously told GQ that he considers Rihanna to be the “love of his life.”
“[It’s] so much better,” he said of embracing monogamy with her. “So much better when you got the one. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the one.”
