A$AP Rocky’s proclamation on his 2013 Rihanna-featuring track “Fashion Killa,” that their “babies will be flyer than their parents,” may as well have been a manifestation. 

Cut to a decade later and Rocky and Rihanna are now the proud parents of two sons—16-month-old RZA Athelston and newborn Riot Rose—who, by all accounts, appear to be just as fly as their preternaturally fashionable parents. 

But now that big brother RZA has started matching his stylish pops, they’re well on their way to clearing that bar entirely.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky burst into tears when they heard RZA stutter the first sentence of his life… However, that sentence was a word calling his younger brother Riot, not his parents.

The couple Rihanna and A$AP Rocky humorously shared that they were surprised by that, but imagine if that was the case, maybe they would love each other very much when they grow up.

In a new photoshoot debuting Rih, Rocky, and their brood as a family of four, baby RZA is wearing his own mini version of Rocky’s diamond-and-ruby-wrapped “GRIM” belt buckle that celebrity jeweler Alex Moss crafted for the rapper last year. 

Rocky’s original piece—which cost a reported $322,000 and features a Goosebumps-style letter “G” and a Monster Energy “M,” among other emblems—swiftly became one of his favorite accessories. 

(Per the “where’s the new music?” rumor mill, Grim is also the alleged title of Rocky’s still-anticipated fourth studio album.)

And while a matching father-son belt is a good marker for RZA to cement his “Fashion Killa” destiny, it’s certainly not the only benchmark on his journey so far. In the shoot, RZA also rocks a teensy leather biker jacket and silver-and-black sneaks, while his dad Rocky approximates a high-fashion version of a easygoing ’90s-sitcom dad in a ribbed white tank, Bottega Veneta printed leather jeans, and a Celine green plaid flannel overshirt. Not to be outdone by the elder Mayers boys, newborn Riot is wearing a pint-sized pair of Timberland boots.

For the (very precious) photoshoot, the Mayers fam got all dressed up and posed for their friend and fashion photographer Miles Diggs, who’s known professionally as Diggzy, in a driveway at night time—a far cry from the Sears portraits of yesteryear. (Diggzy also shot Rih and Rocky’s first pregnancy announcement back in January 2022; as you may recall, Rihanna revealed her second pregnancy while headlining the Super Bowl halftime show earlier this year—sheesh!)
