NO REGRETS: Peter Kay has terrified audiences by threatening the woman he kicked out of his show: “I know where you live…”

Peter Kay is not shying away from the controversy surrounding his recent Manchester show, where he had several fans ejected for disrupting his performance.

Instead, the comedian is using humor to address the situation as he continues his Better Late Than Never… Again! tour.

The incident in question occurred earlier this month at the AO Arena in Manchester when the 51-year-old comic called for security to remove a group of audience members.

He claimed their behavior was ruining the experience for the rest of the crowd. However, it was his remark to one particular heckler that made headlines.

While ejecting a woman from the venue, Kay quipped, “Go on, off you go, Lisa Riley,” referring to the former Emmerdale actress.

Although Kay later insisted he had not intended it as an insult—and Lisa Riley herself dismissed any offense—the woman, later identified as Myar Curran, was left furious.

She accused the comedian of humiliating her and labeled him a “bully.”

Peter Kay Pokes Fun at Controversy During Birmingham Show

Despite the backlash, Kay didn’t shy away from addressing the situation during his latest performance in Birmingham on Friday night. According to MailOnline, he made light of the drama as soon as he took the stage.

“Good evening, how are you? Can I just say thank you very, very much for coming tonight? I really do appreciate it. Thank you,” he told the crowd. “Some of you have been waiting years for this, and I hope you enjoy it, I really do.”

Then, referencing the Manchester controversy, he added, “So I promise I won’t throw anyone out. I hope you have a good time. Well… unless you f**ing start—I’m only kidding.”*

But that wasn’t the only moment he brought up the debacle. During the show, an audience member was given a microphone to ask him a question. When she mentioned that this was her fourth time attending his tour, Kay responded with a cheeky remark:

“You’re kidding? Thank God you don’t look like Lisa Riley.”

The crowd reportedly erupted in laughter at the joke, showing that Kay still has his signature comedic timing even when handling controversy.

Myar Curran Speaks Out on Being Ejected

While Kay has tried to brush off the situation, Myar Curran, the woman at the center of the drama, has spoken out about how she felt humiliated by the ordeal.

Following the incident, she appeared on Good Morning Britain to share her side of the story.

“I didn’t mean to cause any harm, I was just showing my love as he kicked someone out, but he obviously didn’t like it,” she explained.

According to Curran, she had been standing up and chanting, “We love you, Peter, we do,” when the comedian took offense and ordered her removal.

“I feel like what I said was not abusive or aggressive—it wasn’t anti-social, and I wasn’t drunk,” she continued. “It’s just been a bit over the top, his reaction.”

Peter Kay Defends His Comments on TV

Kay addressed the controversy himself during an appearance on Good Morning Britain, where he insisted he had not meant to offend Myar Curran with his Lisa Riley comment.

“I didn’t realize it was an insult,” he explained. “She did look remarkably like Lisa Riley, I didn’t realize that was an insult.”

Despite his explanation, Curran has maintained that she felt belittled by the comedian’s response and that his actions were unnecessary.

Mixed Reactions from Fans

The situation has sparked debate among fans, with some supporting Kay’s right to maintain control over his shows, while others believe his reaction was too extreme.

Many of his supporters argue that disruptive audience members can ruin live performances, and they back his decision to eject those he felt were causing a disturbance. Others, however, feel that he may have been too harsh in this instance, particularly with his public remark about Curran’s appearance.

Regardless of the controversy, Kay continues to pack out arenas across the country, proving that his loyal fan base remains as strong as ever. With his quick wit and ability to turn even negative press into comedy gold, it’s clear that he’s not letting the drama slow him down.

Peter Kay’s recent gig controversy has become a talking point in the comedy world, but rather than avoiding the subject, he has chosen to address it with humor. While Myar Curran remains upset by her ejection from his Manchester show, the comedian appears to be moving forward, continuing to entertain audiences with his signature wit.

As the Better Late Than Never… Again! tour continues, fans will undoubtedly be watching closely to see whether Kay encounters more disruptions—or if he finds another way to turn controversy into comedy.
