Linda Robson has thrilled fans by announcing her return to acting, stepping into an exciting new role that will bring her talents to the stage once again.

The beloved Loose Women star, now 66, originally made her name in the acting world before becoming a regular fixture on the popular ITV daytime show.
Best known for portraying Tracey Stubbs in the hit sitcom Birds of a Feather,
Linda captivated audiences from the show’s debut in 1989 until its most recent revival ended in 2020.

Over the years, Linda’s career has spanned a variety of roles across television and reality TV.

She has appeared in classics like The Bill and taken on reality-based challenges in shows such as Celebs on the Farm and Celebrity Coach Trip.

Despite these ventures, her first love remains acting, and she is now preparing for a stage comeback in the theatrical adaptation of Fawlty Towers.
A stage version of Fawlty Towers, originally a BBC sitcom that aired between 1975 and 1979, has enjoyed great success since its live performance debut in 2016. Linda is set to join the cast for a limited time, breathing new life into the classic comedy for audiences eager to relive the magic of the original show. Though the specifics of her role in the production have yet to be revealed, the news has already generated excitement among her fans.
Expressing her enthusiasm for this new challenge, Linda shared that she is both excited and slightly nervous about stepping back onto the stage. “I did The Good Ship Murder, and now I’m going into Fawlty Towers, the play, for a couple of months. I’m really looking forward to it—hopefully, I won’t have to sing!” she said in an interview.
Despite her vast experience in television, Linda admitted that the idea of returning to live theatre after a significant break gives her some jitters. “A little bit, yes,” she confessed. “I haven’t done stage work for a while, but I’m going to see the play on Friday night, and we start live performances in May or June.”

Linda has never hidden her love for acting, and her recent role in Channel 5’s crime drama The Good Ship Murder further reignited her passion for the craft. Starring alongside former X Factor winner Shayne Ward, Linda played a character named Elsa, a cabin steward. She spoke excitedly about her time filming for the show, revealing, “I was in Malta for eight days filming. Hopefully, I don’t die in the storyline!”
She also shared her admiration for Shayne Ward, saying, “I’ve met him quite a few times on Loose Women, and he’s great. Apparently, he sings in every episode too!”
While Linda’s return to acting is a major highlight of her career right now, she has also been offering unwavering support to her longtime friend and former Birds of a Feather co-star, Pauline Quirke. Pauline, who played Sharon in the iconic sitcom, has been privately battling dementia.
Speaking candidly about her friend’s health, Linda shared, “I’ve known about Pauline’s diagnosis for three years, and it has been tough. I’ve stayed in touch with her husband, Steve, and she’s being well looked after. We FaceTime a lot, although she doesn’t say too much anymore. But we always keep in contact, and I’m seeing her next week.”

Linda has remained a steadfast presence for Pauline and her family during this difficult time, while also acknowledging how emotional it is to talk about. “It’s really nice to see the love and support for Pauline,” she added. “But it can be upsetting as well.”
As Linda prepares for her highly anticipated return to the stage, fans are eager to see her bring her signature warmth and comedic timing to Fawlty Towers. Her latest role marks an exciting new chapter in an already illustrious career, proving that her passion for performance is as strong as ever.
Whether she’s on television or treading the boards, Linda Robson continues to captivate audiences with her talent and dedication, ensuring that she remains one of Britain’s most cherished entertainers.
